2022 Donor Reception Information

We are excited to for a great night of conversation and celebration! OTC staff will be present at check-in, your assigned table, and stationed throughout the venue—if you have any questions or issues, please feel free to ask anyone wearing an OTC lanyard. There will be parking across the street from the Old Glass Place at the Discovery Center lot; keep an eye out for our parking sign and an OTC security officer that will be directing traffic. Heavy hors’devours will be provided; once you have found your table and know what time your photograph is scheduled you are able to help yourself to food. All food being served will have an accompanying card disclosing allergens. Please see below for a couple of pointers for etiquette for the evening.

Dress code
The Donor Reception is a formal event so business casual attire is encouraged. Please wear a nice pair of slacks, a button-down shirt/blouse, skirt, or dress. You are not expected to purchase any clothing, so the nicest outfit you already own is fine to wear even if it doesn’t meet that description.
Punctuality
Doors open at 5:20 p.m. and the event starts at 5:30. Arrive in a timely manner so you can park, check in, receive your name tag, find your designated table, and meet your donor.
Greeting your donor
Make sure to thank your donor and discuss how their scholarship has impacted you.
Electronics
Keep your smartphone and other electronics in your purse, pocket, etc. and set the ringer to vibrate. If you must take a call, politely excuse yourself from the room or make the conversation short and sweet.
Before you go…
Before leaving the event, say thank you before saying good-bye.
